Canadian Armed Forces Night:

The Blades will be honoring the Canadian Armed Forces in a feature game Friday February 12th when the Georgetown Raiders visit the Joshua's Creek Arenas. Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM.

Representatives from the Lorne Scots, a local regiment of the forces, will be participating in on ice opening ceremonies.

As well, during the game, the Blades will be conducting Mayor Burton's Shoot-out Contest. This is an on ice contest for the fans to be held at the 1st intermission.

Fans can sign up to participate by filling out a ballot in the front the lobby.  Four (4) fans will be randomly chosen from the ballots and each chosen fan will have 30 seconds to shoot as many pucks in the net as possible. The winner will get a lunch date with Mayor Rob Burton courtesy of Paradiso Oakville.

Friday February 12th is a great opportunity to pay tribute to the Canadian Armed Forces and our local regiment here in Oakville.

The Blades would like to thank Brad Stevenett of Century 21 Real Estate for his contribution to the evening.  Brad's contribution, along with the participation of the Lorne Scots regiment, plus the fast-paced action on the ice between the Georgetown Raiders and Oakville Blades will make Friday's game a tremendous event.  Tickets can be obtained during the week from the Blades office and at the door on game night.
