Sixteen Mile Sports Complex (SMSC)

Welcome to the new home of the Oakville Blades

In September of 2010 the Oakville Blades moved their hockey operations to the brand new Sixteen Mile Creek Sports Complex (SMSC), ending a lengthy stay at the Joshua's Creek Arenas in the town's east end.

The move to the new arena will allow the hockey club to play in larger, more modern arena. The SMSC's main arena houses an Olympic-sized surface as well as seating for 1,500. As well, it has 3 NHL sized surfaces, sports pub and locker room/office facilities for the Blades.

The new arena is also centrally located in the town of Oakville, with easy access from all major highways and Highway 5 (Dundas Street) from any direction.

The Sixteen Mile Sports Complex quad-pad setup will also allow the organization to improve the game night atmosphere and provide more space for special events and community initiatives.
