NCAA Commitments

Oakville Blades forward Brandon Denham committed to the Division 1 NCAA Robert Morris University Colonials for the 2012-13 hockey season.

A native of Milton, ON., the 1992-born Denham is in his second season with the Blades.

He scored 17 goals and 15 assists in 50 games with the team last year .

Robert Morris University is located near Pittsburgh. The Colonials play in the NCAA’s Atlantic Hockey Association.

Oakville Blades forward Conor McGlynn will be joining the Boston College Eagles beginning with the 2013-14 Hockey East season.

Born in Hingham, Massachusetts, the 6'2", 195 lbs. McGlynn has lived most of his school years in Oakville, Ontario and played in the Oakville Rangers 'AAA' program through to his Minor Midget year.  A hot commodity coming out of minor midget last season after posting 25 goals and 49 points, McGlynn officially committed to the Boston College after attending a Collegiate Hockey Summit and last March, McGlynn was invited to participate in the U.S. National Team Development Program Top 40 camp.  Following the season, he was selected by the Sioux City Musketeers in the 4th round, 57th overall, of the USHL Futures Draft and by the Kingston Frontenacs in the 6th round, 110th overall, of the OHL Priority Selection.
